The largest five-year federal budget in the UAE's history

The Federal Budget for 2022-2026, with a total expenditures of AED 290 billion, was approved by the UAE Cabinet, chaired by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE, and Ruler of Dubai. This marks the largest federal budget in the nation’s history, reaffirming the UAE’s commitment to national growth and to achieving happiness, security, and decent life for its people.

The federal general budget for the cycle 2022-2026 was approved in accordance with the provisions of Federal Decree Law No. 26 of 2019 on public finance and international best practices, which aims to optimise government spending and enhance its efficiency, to enable federal entities achieve their goals and implement programmes that support national priorities.
