MoF organised the “Wajib Alina” (Our duty) initiative in observance of the International Day of Older Persons, in collaboration with the Thukher Club of the Community Development Authority in Dubai. This initiative reflects the Ministry’s ongoing commitment to social responsibility and its dedication to supporting and caring for senior citizens.The initiative aims to shed light on the issues facing older persons and to promote respect for their rights, dignity, and well-being. Established by the United Nations in 1990, the International Day of Older Persons is observed annually on 1 October to raise awareness of the challenges elderly individuals face—such as social isolation, healthcare access, and financial insecurity—and to encourage the creation of age-friendly communities.This initiative was carried out in partnership with the Community Development Authority in Duba.
