On Emirati Women’s Day, we celebrate the great achievements made by Emirati women in various fields throughout the past years, which contributed to the UAE’s prosperity and progress across all fields. These attainments will help us build a brighter future in line with our wise leadership’s directives and The Principles of the 50 to invest in human capital to build a better future.

The UAE attained significant progress in gender balance globally, thanks to the wise leadership’s directives to empower women through various initiatives and projects. We also express gratitude to H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Chairwoman of the General Women’s Union, President of the Supreme Council for Motherhood and Childhood, Supreme Chairwoman of the Family Development Foundation, and the “Mother of the Nation”, who supported Emirati women to occupy senior positions and contributed to augmenting their educational and creative capabilities.

The Ministry of Finance made great efforts in empowering Emirati women to take an active role in designing and implementing initiatives and projects. Emirati women represent 58% of the total employees at the ministry, another testament to the ongoing support given to Emirati women working at the ministry. On Emirati Women’s Day, we extend our thanks and appreciation to our wise leadership and H.H. Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak for their ongoing efforts to empower Emirati women to attain many firsts globally across various fields.
