Commitment to Digital Accessibility

The Ministry of Finance is committed to making its digital platforms accessible and inclusive to all, including people of determination and senior citizens. This commitment reflects our vision to support the UAE’s national drive towards a barrier-free digital environment, as stipulated in the National Digital Accessibility Policy issued by the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority (TDRA).

Accessibility Standards

Our digital platforms were developed using the Emirates Design Framework and are compliant with WCAG standards issued by the World Wide Web Consortium (W3C) standards. They include advanced features that ensure digital inclusion and easy accessibility for all segments of society.

Our Efforts to Improve Accessibility Continue

We regularly conduct usability audits and assessments to ensure easy accessibility of all our digital services. We also continually update our websites and mobile applications based on user feedback, with the aim of removing any barriers and improving the user experience.

Available Accessibility Features

The Ministry of Finance platforms are equipped with a comprehensive set of accessibility tools, including:

Visually Impaired Mode:

• Use of clear font size such as Arial.
• Text enlarged by 25%.
• Expand letter and line spacing.
• Improve text alignment and color contrast.
• Enlarge the cursor and highlight links.
• Reduce or disable visual effects.

Mobility Mode:

• Enlarge text.
• Full keyboard navigation support.
• Reduce visual effects.

Cognitive and Learning Mode:

• Reading Guide.
• Disable effects.
• Enlarge text.

Colorblind Mode:

• Custom color saturation or removal settings.
• Invert colors and improve link contrast.

Dyslexia Mode:

• Special font for dyslexia (Arabic/English).
• Reading Guide and expand spacing.
• Re-align text.

Epilepsy and Photosensitivity Mode:

• Disable flashing animations.
• Reduce color saturation.

Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) Mode:

• Disable effects.
• Use a page mask to highlight text.
• Highlight links and reduce saturation.

Additional Features:

• Text-to-Speech Reader.
• Alternative Text for Images.
• Accessible electronic forms compatible with assistive technologies.
• Support for text translation and captioned videos.
• Multilingual Support.
• Compatibility with most popular browsers.

Continuous Improvement

We conduct regular audits and tests, and update our digital accessibility tools to meet international standards. We also take user feedback into account and work to implement them.
