Request to Open and Close Bank Accounts for Federal Entities

About this service

This service allows the opening and closing of bank accounts at the Central Bank of the UAE and banks and financial institutions operating in the country, after approval by the Ministry of Finance, in order to serve the needs of the federal entity and enhance the efficiency of banking operations procedures, in implementation of the provisions of Ministerial Resolution No. (141) of 2023 regarding the rules for opening and closing bank accounts, managing banking operations and supplying resources at the Central Bank of the UAE and banks and financial institutions.

The process

1. Access the Bank Account Opening and Closing Service through the UAEPASS via the MoF website.
2. Fill out the digital form to request the opening or closing of a bank account.
3. Upload the required supporting documents.
4. A digital signature link will be sent to the authorised signatories of the entity to approve the electronic letter form.
5. Once the authorised signatory signs digitally, the system will automatically submit the request to the Ministry of Finance.
