Topic:
This consultation aims to evaluate and improve the open data initiatives at the Ministry of Finance in line with international best practices. It focuses on enhancing transparency and facilitating researchers' access to open data that supports their studies and research. Our goal is to provide valuable open data for researchers across various fields such as economic studies, finance, public policies, and others. This will contribute to enriching academic research and assist in making informed decisions across different sectors by collecting public opinions and suggestions on how to improve the quality of open data, increase transparency, and foster innovation

Improving data quality: Gathering public opinions on how to enhance the accuracy and timeliness of open data
Enhancing transparency through sustainable open data strategies
Identifying and understanding the needs of researchers and other open data users and meeting those needs
Facilitating researchers' access to open data to support their studies

Expected decision as a result of this consultation:
Making decisions on which data should be published in accordance with international standards.
Developing a plan to ensure the publication of open data in line with local and international guidelines.
Creating a plan to expand open data in accordance with user needs.
Identifying the recommended reports and data that can support researchers in their studies.

Outcome And Impact


The public consultation received 37 responses, which were carefully reviewed and taken into consideration. As a result, the Data Governance and Analytics Office at the Ministry of Finance updated the Open Data Plan to better align with international standards and user needs.

Key actions included identifying priority datasets for publication, improving data accessibility, and addressing researchers' requirements. The feedback also contributed to guiding the development of the Ministry's new website to ensure a more transparent and user-focused open data platform.
