Shaping the Future of the Financial Sector: The Balance Between Influence and Responsibility

The second edition was held under the theme “Shaping the Future of the Financial Sector: The Balance Between Influence and Responsibility”, which marked a significant development in scope and participation. The forum brought together more than 100 media professionals and students, alongside government leaders and experts from international organisations, including the World Bank and the International Monetary Fund. Over 40 national and international media organisations participated in the event.

  • The Future of the Financial Landscape on the Global Agenda: The first session highlighted the evolving role of international organisations in supporting regional financial transformations, in addition to the Ministry of Finance’s vision for the future of international financial relations.
  • Financial Awareness and Social Welfare: The second session explored the direct impact of financial literacy in enhancing social stability and improving quality of life.
  • Financial Sustainability and the Future of Government Spending: The fourth session addressed ways to balance financial sustainability with continued government support for economic growth, with a focus on the efficient management of public financial resources.
  • Interactive Session for University Students (“UAE Global Cadres” Initiative): The session introduced students to training and employment opportunities within international financial organisations.
  • Workshop on the Governance Principles and Financial Data Analysis: A specialised workshop designed for media professionals, focusing on best practices in analysing financial data and reports.
  • The forum also featured a series of panel discussions and workshops addressing key topics, including the future trends of the financial sector, financial awareness and social welfare, public-private sector partnerships, financial sustainability and government spending, data governance, in addition to a dedicated session for students under the "UAE Global Cadres" Initiative.
