Consultation Subject : 

As part of the Ministry of Finance's commitment to continuously improving its digital services and enhancing user experience, structured user testing sessions were conducted on the official website after its launch.


Consultation objective :

This consultation was to evaluate usability, content clarity, information findability, and overall user satisfaction, while actively incorporating real user feedback into decision-making and service enhancement planning.

Residents of the United Arab Emirates

Users of the Ministry's digital services

  • Individuals seeking financial services and legislation information


Number of Participants :

6 Arab expatriate residents in the UAE

Age group: 33-42 years

Each session lasted between 45-60 minutes.

Outcome And Impact

Methodology :

The usability testing applied multiple research methods to ensure reliable insights, including:

  • Free website exploration
  • Cognitive walkthrough
  • Think-aloud testing method
  • Direct observation

Findings were analyzed and categorized using a severity matrix to prioritize improvements

    Based on the consultation findings, the following actions were approved within the phased enhancement plan:


    • Enhancing the search experience and ensuring the use of active language
    • Improving the presentation and descriptions of services to support ease of navigation
    • Standardising design and adhering to Design Language System (DLS) components across pages
    • Improving the visibility of messages and alerts within pages
    • Enhancing the clarity of interactive elements and reducing errors in forms
    • Reviewing and activating all links to ensure smooth and error-free navigation across the website
    • Improving the user interaction experience with the smart assistant
