FAQs: Accreditation of eInvoicing Service Providers

1. Can I submit all of my documents via email to become an accredited service provider?

No. You must apply through the official eInvoicing service provider accreditation portal.

2. How do I access the eInvoicing Service Provider Accreditation Portal?

The eInvoicing Service Provider Accreditation Portal can be accessed via the Ministry of Finance website.

3. Can I save the application as a draft to be updated later? If yes, for how long?

Your application can remain in draft status for 90 days, beyond which the application will be automatically deleted

4. What should I do if I am not able to click on the “Submit Accreditation Application” button?

You can only have one active accreditation application at a time. So, if this button is inactive, it means you have already submitted an application to the Ministry.

5. Can anyone submit an accreditation application for my company?

While the accreditation application can be filled by any company employee, please ensure that the individual signing this self-declaration is authorized under the company’s Power of Attorney

6. How to check the status of the submitted application with the Ministry?

To review the status of your submitted application, click on “My Application Status” on the home screen.

7. Where can I find my draft application?

When you click on the “Submit Accreditation Application” button, you will be able to access your draft application.

8. What is the estimated time to complete application review by the Ministry?

Once you submit your application, the Ministry will review your application and respond within 90 days. If the Ministry returns your application to you for additional information, you should resubmit your application and provide the requested information within 30 days, failing which, your application will be rejected.

9. What kind of testing will I be required to complete as part of the accreditation process?

Once your application has been successfully reviewed by the Ministry, you will be informed to proceed with the following steps Pre-approval testing:
• OpenPeppol testing
• Taxpayer onboarding and participant id creation testing with the Federal Tax Authority

10. How can I contact OpenPeppol regarding the pre-approval testing?

11. How should I contact the Federal Tax Authority regarding the pre-approval testing?

12. What kind of insurance documents would I need to submit as part of my application?

The following insurance documents will need to be submitted:
a. Professional indemnity insurance
b. Crime insurance
c. Cyber fraud insurance

13. Can I get the insurance documents issued from outside the UAE

All insurance policies must be issued within the UAE

14. When should I submit the insurance documents?

You can upload your insurance documents once the Ministry and completed their initial review of your application and instructed you to proceed with the pre-approval testing

15. What should I do if I don’t yet have a business continuity ISO 22301 certificate?

In case you do not yet have a business continuity ISO 22301 certificate, you should upload sufficient evidence to substantiate why. The Ministry will review your document and provide you a date by which the certificate must be submitted.

16. How will I know if the Ministry has actioned my application?

You will receive email notifications for all actions performed on your application.

17. Will the Ministry be doing continuous checks on Accredited Service Providers?

Yes, there are standard procedures that Accredited Service Providers will have to adhere to. In addition, there will be periodic audits that will be performed.
