OPEN DATA POLICY
The Ministry of Finance strives to provide integrated government services to ensure meeting the needs and expectations of its stakeholders. The ministry offers a range of digital services, systems, and tools, in line with its primary responsibility to uphold confidentiality and privacy standards. Open data can be accessed, used, reused, and shared by anyone without technical, financial, or legal restrictions, including restrictions on its use, publication, or distribution. The policy is centered on adhering to the following guidelines:
- Open data shall not be reused in any activities that compromise its content, source, principles, or integrity.
- Open data shall not be used for political activities, illegal activities, or any activities that are offensive or inconsistent with the religious, cultural, or social values of the UAE, or contrary to its customs and traditions.
- Open data systems shall not be targeted or compromised.
The data shall not be used to imply or reference the Ministry of Finance’s hosted website as the primary source of data or its confidentiality.
The Ministry of Finance is committed to exerting maximum efforts to align and harmonize user interactions through communication channels and governance frameworks that facilitate the exchange of open data.
The ministry is dedicated to continuous improvement to benefit all stakeholders.
