​Statement from His Excellency Younis Haji Al Khoori, Undersecretary of Ministry of Finance, on electing His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the United Arab Emirates
We congratulate those who call the UAE home on electing His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan as President of the United Arab Emirates. Yesterday, with sadness and sorrow, we mourned to the people of the UAE and the Arab and Islamic nation the death of the late Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, may his soul rest in peace; and today, we all pledge loyalty to His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. We will spare no effort to achieve His Highness’s vision in reiterating the UAE’s position as an economic, social, humanitarian, and cultural model to be emulated. We ask Allah Almighty to bless His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and our beloved nation.​
